Bala,

Kamal Hassan films are high class. If people(like you) can not understand his films quality and like only the 'c' center masala films, pls keep quiet.

Kamalhasan-

Kamalhassan is a classic actor/director who I have admired since I was a child..no actor has ever made me cry, laugh and literally "react" to a movie as he has...I think its important for south Indian movies to move away from the commercial restraints of the south movie industry-and in fact expand on what directors like Mani Ratnam and Kamalhasan are doing now....create a hub for historical/political features so the masses are well aware of our culture/history and background..it's the best way to attract and draw the western/new audiences..Love you work..Mr. Hassan..keep it coming!
Dying to watch Tamil movies in NYC! they don't play them @ indie venues......we need to do something about this!

It shows the taste of our audience who cannot appreciate a real master piece like this.

Dear Bala, this article is about what Kamal said about the movie "Nala Damayanthi" and does not have rediff's opinion. They are just saying that movie is doing extremely well. If it is dry or juicy, you can decide for yourself. Each person expects different things in a movie and is entitled to have an opinion. Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean that you can expect everyone to agree with it. I don't understand what do you see biased in the article. Have a nice day!

your opinions are very biased.
particularly the film nala damayandhi.. it was very dry .. dont try to fool people around.. then rediff will lose credibility !!

Well....... i respect your opinion. But as i stated earlier, it is your opinion only and opinions differ according to the state of mind of a person (I dont think you like Mr.hassan). Even in the US, movies get completely different comments from different sources in the print media. Just because rediff says it is doing well, which is what I am hearing from home, it does not mean that you can be so harsh on them. They are doing a great job. Keep it up REDIFF.

Kamal Hassan - Is he really worth this attention??
by Venkat on Jun 22, 2003 12:53 AM

Kamal's Nala Damayanthi is a remake of the movie 'Green Card' (Gérard Depardieu & Andie McDowell) I don't know how he has the temerity to say it's his story. That leaves us wondering where Sandiyar's story is from (even though there are claims that is a real story)

Even 'Devar Mahan' follows closely the line of 'God Father' . A reluctant son (Michael Coreleone - Al Pacino) becoming the head of the clan after father's untimely death (Vito Coreleone- Marlon Brando) and leading it successfully. Ofcourse, the story was 'Tropicalized' to suit Tamil Movie Viewers.
