This is bs!

Alright, I am convinced that the folks at Rediff never really do their job and just like to create the news that they think exists.
It doesn't get any worse than this. Rediff gives great movies like KKHH, K3G bad reviews and good performances like Kajol's in K3G loud and average. What can we expect from such inaccurate and obviously biased jounalism? Declaring a movie that is doing really well at the box-office a flop/below average in only 2-3 days is wholly preposterous, ridiculous and horrible journalism.
Rediff should shutdown or get a whole new staff who have a 3rd grade education, in the least.

Movie reviews are real bad
by Rao Desineni on Jun 17, 2003 06:46 PM

Know what! Rediff is in serious need of changing their whole staff incharge of Bollywood reviews. They've employed some great journos for Hollywood reviews..completely up-to-date on those ones..but Bollywod stuff sucks. C'mon man! Rediff said Lagaan sucked..it did not. And now their verdict is out (for chalte-chalte) in 3 days !! Not that I have watched teh movie yet..but hey, give some time to a movie.

Chalte Chalte
by Mayuranathansubramanian on Jun 17, 2003 05:18 PM

Its really poor journalism. How can the fate of movie be decided in just 3 days ? Its really very difficult to get tkts for this film and rediff calls it a flop. But a news in Economic times informs that its a hit and claims that good days ahead for bollywood with back to back hits(bhoot and now chalte chalte). Its just surprising that a ridiculous fare like ishq Vishq got a favourable review from Rediff.

Chalte Chalte

First go to the theatres and watch the movie as well as the crowd. Then write the articles. Simply sitting at the terminal and typing some nonsense is not journalism. If u r not sure abt something then just leave it. Why do u want to poke ur nose into something which u dont know?? This is really horrible reporting and do try and remove that article as soon as possible.

Walkin' walkin' ...
by Raj Lalwani on Jun 17, 2003 01:37 AM

It doesn't get any funnier than this. Chalte Chalte (I call it walkin' walkin' !) runs to full houses at all the major theatres in Mumbai. The only reason I manage to get a ticket is because of a generous soul who unfortunately for him, and fortunately for me, had some work on the day he was supposed to see the movie, and so handed me his tickets.
I fail to fathom how a film which has got such a fabulous and rave reviews from almost all sections of the media (except Rediff) can be called a flop. ("Though Chalte Chalte, Shah Rukh Khan's third home production, did not fare well at the box-office,...") Pray, it has just been 3 days since it released! Hits and flops aren't decided on the basis of the first 3 days! If they were, Yaadein (torturous memories) would have been a super hit!
Chalte Chalte is a great movie, with both King Khan and his Queen Rani in fine form. Credit must be given where it's due. Don't call a film which has got a great opening on its first 3 days a flop. Not yet, atleast ...
