this is nothing but political skulduggery at its worst and typical of politicians to make the proverbial hay while the sunshines.fact of the matter is ,real life politics,is much more stark, naked and exploitative than reel life.Reel life will probably give only a glimpse, which is like tip of the iceberg.Stifling artistic and aesthetic expression in the name of being political moralists and nationalists is nothing but a sham and KAmal should be allowed to complete his film peacefully.KUDOS to you kamal pl keep giving us excellent films which will be the showcase of talents of the best artist in our country.

Not everybody will take the matter lightly

Of course, his Thever magan eulogised the devar community and it caused some problems among the communities. Dalits and Brahmins have been the famous punching bags for long period. Brahmins cannot fight as they feel it does not affect them but other communities should take cudgels to fight against caste polaraisation in movies.

Well Said...V.Iyengar...Not everybody will take the matter lightly as do brahmins. They have been the target especially in most of the Tamil films produced & directed by a group of Atheists who think, they had been done a great job after hurting the feelings of this particular community. Due to lack of majority & coordination among this community, no one either raises against the issue OR just follow the principle of "Malaiyae Parthu Naye Kolaikirathu".
But this kind of hurting the feelings is not possible with other communities, as they always raise to the occassion atleast in cases like these...
We should also first check whether "Sandiyaar" film is really going to have such scenes that create tensions among dalits. Ofcourse, we have the Censor Board, who will definitely edit, if such violences are ought to be present...just like..Aalavandar..
then...where comes this politicising political leader??
Has he asked such questions before to any other film producer/director(minority)..this is all stupid politics..
