I have no problems with Salman playing the role of a hindu God,but the feelings and sentiments of people should always be respected.I think its all because of bad boy image of salman rather than his religion.
I dont think people will have problems shahruk khan playing the same role, because he has a good boy image.
Hey why don't these people come out of religion? Sanjay Khan produced & directed one of the mythological seriel i think on Hanumaan. Nobody objected then why people are making ado about it now...
& About Salman's charecter? How can you say that the other actor who'll do this role will be very pious & nice.Salman has shown his bad image to everybody others might be careful but that doesnt mean that they're very nice.
I hate Salman. But i don't care whoever play Ram's character.
i think salman should not play ram ...its got nothin to do with religion but more to do with bad acting ...the role should be given to SRK or to Sunny ...or even some new guy ...but salman ..is a luvy dovey actor fit for play ful roles ... not a serious role like ram

Just cuz ur not hindu does not give u any right to speak in this patronizing tone. People have opinions, and so let them have theirs. What's your problem anyways? And how would u like it if tomorrow Akshay Kumar would play allah in a movie, huh?! I'm sure u'd be very pleased? How would you feel if I said, at least your god would have half a brain? That's exactly how someone else would feel, so next time take your foot out of your mouth before you speak and learn how to respect others.
it's high time that we come out of our typical petty fellow feeling based on religion.what does the word RELIGION really mean?does it teach us to discriminate between human beings on the basis of which god they worship?but the question is where is the controversy?salman playing ram or a hindu playing the same.i wonder whether the reaction would have been the same if shahrukh or aamir would have done the role

If you can accept a realites in life then why the yell to you make such a fuss. No Bollywood actors are gentleman, for that matter Salman is better human being than his other collegues. Who only now to make money, but he knows who to contribute to the needy.
its easy to make a statement that people are opposing bcoz salman is a muslim and become a great secularist. These are matters of faith and cannot be linked to finance and money. If there is mone person with least credibility in bollywood its salman and sanjay. to enact the role of rama needs lot of dignity which this brat doesnot poses. One should not combine two unrelated things and try to gain form that like our "secular" politicians. Like one of my friend said had it been amir or shahruk it not a problem. I guess the producer wants to gain publicity with this.
It is sheer disgrace to THE STORY OF RAMA if Salman is considered to act as Rama....Not that he is a Muslim but he doesn't has the charm of acting.Except for showing the body....he can be no better than a model...Of course,I do believe If Amir had been given that role....everyone would have accepted.How can a person who could not hold the values of a human being can uphold the values of Sri Rama???People have recognised that he cannot definitely portray to the role of RAMA and Salman should accept that he is a romantic actor,But not that capable/worth enough to portray a role like that of RAMA.
