Lakme Fashion India is just one of the finest events that serves as a platform for Indian designers who are doing very well in India with thier own labels or abroad too. Designers like Ritu Kumar the queen of Indian Fashio. She gave Indian women some penchant for class & elegance. I feel India should have these ind of platform for upcoming designers in the coming years may be on a smaller scale but gives chance to these designer who have talents cpilling thier beans ...all the time . By 2020 there should be atleast a dozens of Lakme Fashion India weeks so that our fashion can reach international standards and the exposure recieved should be amazing
Fashion as it means is definately growing in India. It should retain its traditional values and yet be modern in nature. Thats what todays designers are trying to achieve. I hope you designers stick to your basics of Indian culture and then develop India in the fashion world. India has latent talent in the fashion field too. One needs to find and evolve it. Hi, I think these days, everywhere the "fashion Mania" is seen. Its nice to see lot of imagination in the field of fashion designing but also it is sad to see that, in the name of fashion, sex is also being sold.
But, I am sure, real fashion is really going in a fantastic way. I think, bangalore could become Indain Paris, one day. Lots of fashion designers are emergin from this city.
I am also interested in this fashion designing, but I would like to know where to enquire about it. Right now I am a S/W engineer working in an MNC. Hope this filed grow more and more ina good manner
