arth was really very nice movie... infact it gives a reflection of the real situation of metros instead of the reel situation.... shabana,, smitha has played their roles very welll.. but the excellent perfomance was delivered by raj.... he (kharbanda)performed very well.. great job done... rohinis part gives a picture of someone from our own group as we share some secrets /ask for advices from elder maids............. very nce movie.. worth seen n number of times..........

RE:What xerox copy are you talking about.

Hey Chandramouli,

Its wierd that you assume Arth was a remake of a tamil movie with revathi, raghuvaran and arvind swamy. Please note that Arth starred Smita Patil and for you kind information Arvind swamy was perhaps in college at that time.

Also note, that there was another movie remade into Tamil starring Revathi...Damini. and not the other way round.

lyrics and music in Arth
by Birendra Sarda on Jul 13, 2003 10:11 PM

Arth is one of the classics in Bollywood. The article depicts the individual performances and also justifies the direction. But it doesn't tell much about lyrics and music. Who can forget..."Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho"...and the punching line..."Rekhao ka khel hai muquadar, rekhao se maat kha rahe ho...!!" We are truly blessed to have a Ghazal singer like Jagjeet among us.

This is the one article that makes rediff.com movie section different & better than other movie sites. I never miss a single article from memories section. Thanks!
