Anurag Kashyap and AK Kalicharan.

I feel Anurag Kashyap apart from posessing a rich talent is also a fine humanbeing and a person with candid views on all matters of importance and as a matter of fact person.Anurag has the potential of giving the Indian cinema what it needs to get noticed the world over. By directing PAANCH he has certainly made an impressive beginning and with few more opportunities coming his way he seems destined to get the most deserving recognition in the film industry.

Mani Ratnam's Next Tamil film.
by Praveen on Jul 07, 2003 06:03 PM
Indias highly hyped director Mani Rathnam has finally decided to launch his next film a bilingual in Hindi and Tamil. This film will be made under his home production Madras Talkies and is said to be a quickie.

It will be a multi starrer in Hindi with Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee, Simran. The Tamil version will star Madhavan, Surya, Shaam, Meera Jasmine and Simran. The main technicians will be Art director Sabu Cyril, Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, and music director A R Rahman. Writer Sujatha will be in charge of the Tamil screenplay and the story is by Mani himself. The Hindi dialogues by Anuraag Kashyap.

It will be a youth film, which will be made in Mani style and aimed at the Cineplex crowds in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Remember that Shaad Alis Saathiya which was a remake of the Tamil Alai Payuthey worked wonders at the box-office mainly in metros. Similarly, this heady youthful brat pack film is targeted at the teenyboppers in India and overseas.

One of Indias leading film financier is said to be backing the project and the shooting will start by June end and is scheduled for release by January 2004.
