Vidhu vinod chopra is a technically excellent director,he deserves full credit for his latest achievement,his previous films might have been box-office duds,but there is absolutely no dearth of talent in that man, he has always extracted good performances from his actors,also his camera work is excellent,here's wishing him godspeed in his new venture
I think Amrus really need a director of the caliber of Vidhu considering what computer graphic crap they are churning out these days.He is one of the best and it will take foreigners to recognize his potential(as always)

most bollywood scripts are very poorly written and are just about some stupid couple in love and why they can't be together. Vinod is a true filmaker and is above that and very much deserves to be in hollywood. they typical bollywood fan (you) can't understand the intelligence that goes into his work. That is why hollywood wants him!
When I first watched his 'Parinda' - I could only see the director in every corner of the move. It was sheer delight. It was a class apart - he fully deserves to be up there in the world league. 1942 is another world - more beautiful, more powerful portrayal, more of the direcor's influence on the movie. If you ever have a chance to read this Vidhu, keep in mind that I deeply appreciate your 'class touch' to your movies. Best of luck for your new movie. Raghu Leimen, Germany

Btw- Parinda's credit goes a lot to the slick editing by Renu Saluja and the cinematographer. If you notices all other films by Vindhu Chopra there were really crappy from production point of view because of missing winning team of the editor and cinematographer.
I really think that Mr.Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a creative director and has shown the guts to give us something different everytime.I wish him all the luck on his new venture.
Congrats vidhu... Its not surprising to see that a director of his calibre gets to direct a Hollywood movie. The world will know about one more artisan from the land of Rays and Benegals.
