Am I missing something? As I understand it, Burke has zack, clayton, and layla working for him to steal the "program" from the CIA which he intends to sell for 2? 3? million. (I forget which) If I've got it right, there's no reason for anyone else to take part but Layla. If Burke's agenda was to steal this program from the CIA, using the new recruits to do his dirty work, why does he need anyone except layla involved. All he accomplishes by adding zack and clayton to the mix is to expose himself to more risk. Have I missed the whole thing somehow? This has been bugging me all day.
"Alpacino overacts..although not as much as he did in scent of the woman"
I understand people can have personal opinions but dude whats it doing in a public web site. Rediff's review quality nowadays seems to be at the mercy of "personal opinions" of its reviewers.. maybe they should really screen these "personal opinion" givers before they unleash them to the public.
what bad taste you have.. i have lost belief that The recruit is as bad as you say it is.
THOUGH THE MOVIE TAKES OFF IN A VERY PROMISING MANNER,IT THROWS ITSELF INTO A DEEP ABYSS IN THE LAST 30 MTS DUE TO SOME ILLOGICAL DIRECTION AND INCOHERENT SCRIPT.AT TIMES,U WONDER WHAT IS MR.ALPACINO DOING HERE IN THIS FARCICAL DRAMA
Guns in the CIA are as uncommon as the lattest technology on the street. Hollywood keeps making these movies about "Secret Agents" that are in fact a fantasy blend of the CIA/FBI/NSA/KungFu Academy/Marine Sniper/Comic Book Super Hero. This is such fluff. Trade Craft taught at the "Farm" does not resemble this "boot" camp for these Comic Book Heros.
