This proves that there is no creativity or originality left in Hollywood. Leave the original alone - it is a timeless classic and the all-time best comedy. It was bad enough The Italian Job was remade, let alone The Thomas Crown Affair - What next - Bullit, The Great Escape or 2001: a Space Odessy?
I do not understand why a movie like "the party" would be remade. It was mediocre. May be audience back then found it funny. I recently saw the movie when it was re-released in bangalore. I did not find it funny at all. It was kiddish and pretentious.
