well srk was good in devdas, but ajay had excelled in the legend of Bhagat singh, its a trend that the films that do well at the box office walk away with maximum awards, about actresses Vyjayantimala was right in rejecting the award for best supporting actress, bcauz i feel chandramukhi's role had more scope and Madhuri had done a brilliant job.
i think the jury has done some injustice to the movie kaante. best comedian shud have gone to mahesh manjrekar as he was the biggest surprise of the movive and anand raj anand has given an excellent music . so i think there are some loopholes in these two categories . rest were given to well deserved candidates.
Guys&gals,why are you getting so upset-Filmfare awards are always given to the mediocre(especially in Hindi).Any Tom,Dick&Harry will tell that if at all 'Devdas' deserved some award it was for Set design&Cinematography-nothing else.Good i did not watch the programme.
It reflects rather sadly on our film industry that one firm (Devdas)got most of the awards this year. Not that it is a bad movie, but there was no other movie which was even nominated consistently for the other categories,except for maybe ' Company'. There is no doubt that in terms of production values and intensity, Devdas was much better than any other movie. It is no wonder that the film industry is in trouble because there was not even a close second.
I was there for the awards ceremony and Shahrukh was the scene stealer in more ways than one. He did not discriminate and pulled everyone'e leg. It is funny that in our huge film industry there is only one guy who is reasonably witty and funny. It was great to have a show where the hosts were not bimbos like malliaka arora and elephants like Archana Puran Singh. Saif also tried to be witty, but he has to realise that he can be funny only because he is genuinly dumb and basically lacks with and smartness.
The award ceremony was so crowded and the queues were 3 miles long. Even if 50% of the people who had come for the awards ceremony read filmfare the magazine would be very popular
Awards are joke. No wonder Amir Khan does not accept or attend these awards even if he himself is awarded manytimes. Devdas and awards are a biggest joke. Company is much much better a movie. But then who cares. I am surprised that people like Shahrukh and Bhansali really think that they deserve this recognition. Bo place for Sanity.
Well, everyone's right about Shahrukh's 'ACTING'. He has to 'act' since he can never be natural or spontaneous on screen!!! Man, hats off to people who can even tolerate him for 5 minutes....
