I read the news about this Virumbugiren. You have stated in the news that Susi Ganesan's first movie was produced by "Manirathnam's production house Kavithaalaya". Actually, Kavithaalaya is K.Balachandar's production house. I guess manirathnam's production house is Aalayam.
It is my modest opinion that Virumbugiren is a below average movie and does not certainly deserve to go to even for a State festival, let alone an international festival.
It is the usual song / fight movie and its performance in the box office is also dismal.
It would be better if the qualification for these festivals also be let known to readers.
