Devdas is a good movie, NO DOUBT about that...BUT..I think that it's more a movie for us foreigners becoz it's more like our tradition which is shown in it. And I don't think that "white" peopl would understand it and especially not "love" which is so powerful for us. They wouldn't understand the word "love" and that how much it means to us.
The only reason that Lagaan won last year was..okay..it was a nice movie, but still it was historical movie.
devdas not upto mark for oscal nomination. sets, costumes do not make film great. devdas got publicty due to bharat shah arrest otherwise devdas a flop movie. if invest 50 million and earn 50 million its even not profit. if u invest 10 million and earns 12 million thats profit. and devdas fails here on boxoffile.
I'm so sick with the thought that Devdas can make it to the oscar's nomination list, and on the top of that what aghast me the most is thinking of winning the award. The movie is bad. Period.
Mr. Bhanseli and to all who thought that the movie is an oscar material, can you all watch the movie once again with open hert and mind? It is not even half as entertaining as Dil To Pagal hai or as exemplary as Lagaan.
Please don't come out with the article on why Devdas is not selected as one of the nominee .... again.. it is so shameful and sick.
