After the horrible experience Rituparno got at the Locarno film festival due to the lack of Aish's acting skills, I think it's only fair to us audiences that these directors stick to the Tabus and Nanditas can really act and are not solely dependent on glamour. Aishwary is nothing but a proclain doll, and should stick to doing glamorous roles entertainig those who lust over her beauty.
Being famous and popular, not to mention being more attractive, will ALWAYS win against talent. This is the fact the world teaches us over and over again. Aishwarya and Kareena are obviously the goddesses of today's world. So, no wonder they can easily grab good roles from lesser mortals. Instead of begrudging them, just accept and respect the fact that they are more powerful and move on.
What the writer says is true to some extent. Hrithik Roshan and Amir Khan likes to do experiments with different roles. In case of Hrithik, latest example is KMG, where he plays a mentally challenged adult which I think none of the current actors could have bettered. In Fiza and Mission Kashmir he tried to do something Hatke. In Lagaan what Aamir khan has done is simply superb. Its leading actors like Amitabh Bacchan (who is either a Father/Teacher or an underworld Don) and Shahrukh Khan (who is a typical lover ala DDLJ,KKHH,DTPH or a negative character ala Darr,Bazigar). They need to have a break.
Of late, it has become a fashion in our film industry guys to do OFFBEAT movies. but one had to wonder that these so called actress like aishwarya(till date only DEVDAS to her credit)and kareena(lost the count of flops she has given) can carry an entire movie and that which demands getting the best out of role rather than looking beautiful only.If they think they are so capable as an actress let them work with a less acclaimed director and a entirely new project , and then turn it into a award winning performance .Merely being signed by the likes of gurinder chadda doesntnot means that you have come in the leagues of smita patil or om puri , nassrudin shah.

i totally agree with this comment. can kareen ever replace the likes of kajol and madhuri . she is nowhere near her sis karisma leave alone these actresses. she can ony beg for roles . the above metuoned actresses are approached for roles. i wont be surprised if she actually starts potraying her role in chameli in her real life to bag roles. look at her role in mpkdh. just watch her with hrithik, she has nithing better to do in this movie than make faces and kiss and cuddle hritik. no surprises this senseless movie bombed. we need batter actresses than kareen atleast. for GOD'S SAKE SHE'S NOT EVEN BEAUTIFUL.

Absolutely right.That's why I am waiting for Urmila Matondkar in "off-beat"Pinjar(directed by a debutante)where she plays the protagonist.
i dont know why the hell public likes Kareena..she has a quite weird type fat face,no proper figure,just a fat girl.."chameli"..quite matches with her character..whatever she acts,she looks like a call girl..many of my friends just hate her bullshit face..
