The movie is shallow; unfunny; overly long; straight forward formula (albeit sugar coated with trinkets and a plot based reason to shoot in foreign locales); rotten acting (the balding artist guy in particular); conveniently kills off the one person that could have made it offbeat and edgy (Dimple).
To all the people that say that they can relate to the characters -- will you let me ride in your SLK (the merc) or the Lexus (one of the girls drive it). Otherwise kindly tell me why you could relate to this better than a Rangeela? Heck even Jackie Shroff had a moment or two of emoting which was paisa vasool compared to the loony, rudderless bunch on this one (with the honourable exception of Aamir -- Ramu & AK are as close to godliness as Mumbai filmdom can get -- godliness of course resides in Mani and Kamal Hassan ;-))
Akash of DCH reminds me of me !! All right, but hey what is this article doing here? Anil Goel has missed to mention a few things here: Why he identifies himself with Akash's character, Where does Kareena come from? Preity Zinta, Akshay Khanna, Saif and Sonali Kulkarni are part of DCH as much as Aamir. Everyone in the movie has a role to play. I agree that this friend of Sabeer Bhatia likes Aamir's character in the movie, but its not just about Akash my dear friend, DCH is about 3 friends.
This movie is an excellent piece of work. Every scene and every song is neatly done.
Rediff, please review articles more carefully before publishing them. Articles like these are doing harm to the movie and pain to its real fans.
I feel rediff should at least review the articles posted by people who work at rediff. He says Kareena Kapoor in DCH... huh.... Dear rediff team this will save you a lot of humiliation like this in future.
The writer is so much ravished by kareena that he sees kareena everywhere.Or are you dreaming and making another DCH!!! thanks for the original script!!!
The writer doesnt really say much..I mean I understand he is trying to say something..for example that he totally identifies with Akash of DCH..but why does he identify with it? He doesnt say. I cant understand that..The article is shallow-deep. It hovers around the heart of the matter, without ever getting down to it.
And all the einsteins out there..the point about Kareena Kapoor is a fantasy..He doesnt mean that Kareena Kappor is in the movie..thank god for some things..he just means his superficial obsession with kareena is similar to sameers superficial obsession with being in love and falling for a pretty face...At least thats my take on his writing..Otherwise I suspect the writer is confused as hell..But its ok, its a free world, and he is entitled to be as confused as he wants to be.
