Roshans have done it again!
by naren on Sep 07, 2004 12:01 PM

I can not believe how narrow minded people are trying to dismiss The Roshan effort of entertainment. Come on Rakesh Roshan never has claimed that he is the next Spielberg. Why can't you appreciate an indian director for his filmmaking and who on earth says that we need to compare it with hollywood movies to prove it is good? Moreover NOBODY can dare to say anything about Hrithik's performance. WE LOVE OUR MOVIES.

Comment on KMG
by Geetartha Das on Aug 28, 2003 02:27 PM

I really enjoy the film kmg. but in certain point i was not happy in the story treatment. When Mr, Mehra father of Rohit informs the Canadian Space centre about his discoveries the sciencist of the research center never beleived him. It is rare phenomena that such famous research center's scienctist easily dismissed his discoveries and refused to listen his discoveries. Even when he is prepared to give the proof the team of scientist reject his offer. It is really a important phenomena in the Astro Physics and atleast a chance should be given to Mr. Mehra. On the other hand famous scientist never dismissed any discovery without any further experiment and reaserch. So, it is rare phenomenan in the today's world and also in the film.

On the other hand Rakesh Roshan never disclosed the fact that from which part of the universe or galaxies or from which solar syatem the space ship is connected through his own computer.

Second half is boring than the First half.It became very much sclapstick. And the ending should be treated like this. Conclusion part should be given to audience hands. At the end it becomes a common film where hero meets heronine after all odds. Dir. lacks here.

Bharat Banga
A Must See
by Bharat Banga on Aug 12, 2003 04:35 PM

The House Full audience breaks out with applause as they see Hrithik innocently in his first scene saying 'Sheesha torhta hoon, par sorry bhi to bolta hoon.' That for me confirmed it...... Hrithik is back baby.
With Koi.. Mil Gaya Hrithik takes Rebirth like a Phoenix, after virtually everyone had written him off, he comes back with a bang.ChachaRoshan and Papa Roshan do a great job getting audiences into the theater and Baby Roshan does an even better job of keeping them there for 3 hours with his amazing performances, which I might add, may be the best of the year.
Hrithik, has re-invented himself. His innocent face as an autistic kid is enough to melt anyone's heart and his performance does the rest.
Koi Mil Gaya is Hrithik all the way, but the supporting actors namely Preity Zinta, Rekha, Johny Lever, The Kids and of course the cute alien are all worth a mention.
All in all definately worth a watch, for all age groups.

KMG is really a beautifully made movie.Only this kind of movie can pull the crowds to the cinema halls and eliminate vedio piracy. This film has certainly reserved a place in the history books of Indian commercial cinema.

Overall - Probably Hrithik's Performance is good
by urxlnc on Aug 12, 2003 09:36 AM

What must one need when on thinks of making special effects? A Bangalore company that had made the independence day special effects. I am not really impressed with the kind of special effects in this movie after you watch the english movies like "Independence day", or "Armageddon" or here "E.T". I can only say that the director has undermined the talent of superb special effects creators
I believe we are overlooking on one more thing here - originality. If Rakesh Roshan were to be original he would not have shamelessly lifted themes from Films like E.T. Tell you what, he's no where near Steven Spielberg, if that's what he's planning to become. RR's still an infinitesimally small part of the Great Director's Brain.
The motivation that actually drives you to see the movie is Hrithik's unique dances, which are getting better and better and its songs. [I'm not raving about the songs here, but I like them.]
More films like these, people will quit watching any special effects themes. Hope some good director does something about it. On the whole I can only say that this movie probably has a little edge over its telugu/kannada counterparts [films like "Nagamma"] which tried using them.

Nothing extraordinary or different! No sincere effort!
by Priyank on Aug 12, 2003 09:01 AM

Hi all!
All I wanna say is that just look at the simply spellbinding, stunning performance of Kamaal Hassan and Sridevi in Sadma before making any hasty generalisations. I mean how can you guys even say that RR has done a great job when the very bottom idea isn't his own. I think all he's trying to do is that somehow bring Hrithik back into the limelight. Oh So, sad poor Hrithik can only do good with Papa. Pa' boy! And people who are really artists don't care for any names, I mean again a movie with K. I bet Raj Kapur, Dilip Kumar, Guru Dutt & Kamaal Hassan never believed in such things though astrologers of that time were better.

nothing but a spoof
by dinu on Aug 12, 2003 08:49 AM

kmg is nothing but a damb squib.
The quality of Bollywood is coming down and has hit a rock bottom with KMG.
Rakesh Roshan is running short of ideas which is evident from the manner he has story-lifted forrest Gump and ET.
True, Hrithik has tried something and has come out successfully.Kudos to him....
But lemme tell u, other regional languages like telugu, tamil and malayalam are trying new things, but here no ideas.....no original story..no original screenplay...bollywood is going down....i am happy abt it....
