Govinda is going south because after years of doing his standard raja babu type comedy he has been sick of being stereotyped by the bollywood industry. Hindi movies are a generic bunch of dull melodramas as compared to most south indian films which have time and time again been copied into hindi movies. Its time govinda made a change and went into more serious roles. As fas as flopping bollywood stars going south is concerned : i think we have enough proof of flop-artists from the south making it big in the north !
I cant believe that you are writing stories that Govinda is "acting" in a Tamil movie. He is just dancing for a single song, and thats it... Dont give misleading news to the reader or else you are bound to lose credibility, just for the sake of giving some "hot" news... it stinks...

He is just doing a guest appearance in the above mentioned movie becos he shares good friendship with rambha. I think these rediff do not verify the facts before publishing it on the net.

On the contrary, really good artistes in the film industry can span across different languages.
If Govinda does pull this of, he might be starting a trend. What gives here is he is doing it under somebody who is not well known, so probably it will be closer to G's heart !!!

pl. don't under estimate south film industry...you might not be knowing south movie standards and talented technitians like A.R Rehman, Ram gopal verma,
mani ratnam...
now a day you can find 50% of bollywood movies are remakes of telugu or tamil movies..
there far better success rate in south movies,s well as with good technical values..
today y boollywood movies are not good because..lack
good technical crew and good stories..
so kindly don't under estimate if any body work in telugu or tamil movies because most of these movies are far better than almost all bollywood movies except some one like devdas,kaante...
now entire bollywood is in flop not only govinda..
