1 U.S dollar = 50 ruppes! So it does matter whether it is a hit because or not in the U.S! I as a pakistani avoid sunny deol movies like the plague...I saw Border and other patriotic films and didn't have a problem but a man who makes a career off hatred is a low life! I mean bashing others is easy money! As far as i'm concerned I will stay with the King KHANS!
Who cares if Hero is a hit overseas or not. Its more important to be successful in India itself which definitely Hero is. No one cares about the overseas market.
Hero is a hit. Sunny doesnt need overseas market to give a hit. His movies are only watched by Indians due to the Bashing of Pakistan etc. So it is quite obvious that these people will not watch his movies. If you look at any Hero they never has the guts to speak about any thing including cross-border terriorsm in there movies fear of loosing Pakistan and Middle -Eastern market even when they make movies on terriorsm. Any way has any Hero makes movies on Action which has Pak bashing and make it a Hit.
for a movie to gross $130000 in just 20 theatres is not all that bad specially when the movie is starring SUNNY whom most pakis and bangladesis consider anti-moslem and dont goto see his movies... also grosses are from U.S. only as in canada movie is being distributed by some1 else whereas eros were the distributors for films like pukar and sarfarosh for north america, in canada movie is doing bumper business and to expected $350000 from U.S. , another $250000 from canada could be safely added...giving it $600000 from north america, which is excellant for a SUNNY movie...
First of all it doesn't matter whether the film is a box-office hit in the overseas market especially in US and UK. First of all the film should appeal to the indian market and if it works in the international market then its ok otherwise it doesn't matter. Anyways actors like SUNNY do not depend on the overseas markets. Sunny alone can pull a film and make it a hit. Lagaan did good business in international market but GADAR's box-office collection in india is the lagaan total collection in US and UK this only shows the popularity of SUNNY. THE HERO IS A HIT!!!!!!!!!!
