Well congrats ash on your achievment. Its good to see an Indian there. But i have my own apprehensions. Is she competent enough to sit on a jury? Now thats the question which i want Ash to answer herself.She is already getting so much publicity and this is welcome. By the by congrats again for getting a hollywood offer. But Ash when will u work with Shyam Benegal or other directors of his cadre. I think u should consider that also rather than being carried away by this offer. One last sentence....why wasn't Amitabh or DevAnanad chosen. Fid the reason.They are more competent and experienced. SEEYA
Hats off to the Cannes for selecting a dumb actress on jury of the prestigious film festival. There were so many good actress in Bollwood. They could have chosen any one of them but one fails to understand as to what made them select Aishwarya Rai. Shame on you Cannes.
Congratulations Aishwarya. You have done a good PR work. You would never have appointed Jury for Cannes on merit, a good PR was the only way. I really feel sorry for the prestigious Cannes festival. They are appointing an actress who is a very bad actress. God knows how will she judge the cinematic merit of the films at Cannes. If Cannes had wanted a beautiful women as jury then should start a beauty contest and appointed women like Ash.

U have hit the nail on the head, pal!!The Cannes people have gone beserk!!Yup, that's the word!!Someone who is not a actor at all is on the jury of CANNES.Unbelievable.What a pity that the other woman in slb's film who's probably the greatest actor in India doesn't figure in the pic. She's the one who deserves this honor.
