Hitendra Dave, is a fit candidate for BJP ticket in the next general elections. HSBC has a dubious reputation in money laundering, how does he explain that. Will the Rupee slide help in industrializing the country. generate employment ? or even grow Exports to overtake Imports.

i dont know what is good about rupee going down
by brian crasto on Oct 01, 2018 01:32 PM

When in 2013 when the dollar had touched 69, everyone started criticising the govt. When nda came to power they said that they will bring down the dollar to 55. The dollar never went below 63 now it is 73. 80% of crude oil is imported, 80% defence equipment is imported. Most essesential commoidities are imported. I dont why do people say that rupee going down is good. Our imports will rise by almost 10% which will increase inflation.

Last four year it was around 64. Gradual decline could have been better.
