Adhar ,a basis to prove identity
by KARAN on Sep 30, 2018 07:01 AM

I have not seen one convincing argument as to why Adhar can not be an universal data usable by all for proving the identity as a citizen of india. If people are doing things which are legal, why is he/she afraid of letting out their identity for a given social/personal act.Binami bank accounts, illegal payments to prostitutes(the same free thinkers will not want a law to decriminlaize prostitution, and make payments to them legal),betting on cricket and horses, getting drugs, benami land purchase, money paid in black to buy propertyetc may be the areas where one may want privacy. For legal actvities, which is want any society wants the citizens to be engaged in why should there be privacy. One area ,one can understand, people wanting to have different women in their lives, and hence privacy, making prostitution legal by recognizing that as SERVICE with tax paid at source (the lady offering that service can be named as Massage professional with health care benefits)will solve some problems for chidambaram ,his son and adhar haters.

Why such a desire to share aadhar with private operators comp
by CR SUBRAMANIAN on Sep 28, 2018 03:53 PM

In fact all the judges should have concurred with Chandrachud J's Judgment which is a well studied one. Even now why should the Government want the data to be shared with private operators and that too where foreign investment is permitted ? Aadhar should have been full wiped out. Matter requires reconsideration by a larger bench to hold it totally unconstitutional.

Aadhaar and Private Firms and organizations
by Ramaswamy V K on Sep 28, 2018 03:35 AM

One can easily see the distress of Jaitely during his press conference on 26-9-2018 about the Supreme Court verdict prohibiting use of Aadhaar by Private Firms and organizations. Jailtely further claims that Government of India has saved Rs 90,000 crore every year by plugging leakages in welfare schemes with Aadhaar and this claim appears to be a lie and he is spreading false news. Is he ready to have his claim verified or audited by some independent Chartered Accountants and I am sure he will not dare it because his lie will be exposed? One of the very purposes of introducing Aadhaar is to help large corporates and they have been allowed to use the infrastructure by the Government illegally in spite of Supreme Court stay and it is breeding ground for corruption and donations to the ruling party. Further Jaitley has exposed his concern and helplessness in assisting the Corporates, foreign companies and private parties on account of adverse verdict by SC. Unlike the claim by the Government of India of the earlier regime and the present one that Aadhaar is for helping the poor, it is with the main intention of assisting and enabling the large corporates in India and abroad to reap large profits by way of Data Analytics using Government Infrastructure built with tax-payers money.
