Close down tanneries.....
by Rakesh Pandit on Sep 06, 2018 05:52 AM

We, majority of Indians, have much more value of Holy Ganga compared to these skin traders. They have polluted the river beyond imagination, without care, as they have no religeous affiliation for Ganga. As a part of clean ganga campaign, all tanneries on its bank have to be indefinately closed down.

WHY IS LABELED AS TROUBLE ?
by auryas on Sep 05, 2018 06:10 PM

Media propaganda ? Why Kumbh Mela a trouble ?

The tannery industries which are known to be illegal in most cases owned by local goons and bahubalis of UP are draining the chemical and toxic waste into Ganga.

Why can't they have a treatment plant for effluents instead of draining them into the river ?

These industries should have been shut down long ago .

has anybody visited tannery unit in kanpur
by samir sood on Sep 05, 2018 04:33 PM

Tannery units smell like rotten rats. you cannot breathe inside a tannery unit because of foul smell of leather flesh. after leather hides are washed with chemicals this waste water is drained in Ganga river and many people drink this water out of holy faith. do these innocent people know that they are drinking blood rinsed water? I bet no body knows it.. Govt should ban the discharge into holy river. wake up!

bjp govt whether at state level or centre level will continue destruction of indian industries...

artisans in kashmir are forced to beg....khadi industry in gujarat is forced to beg...leather industry in UP will be forced to beg...

Indians are going to beg to bjp one day to let them breathe air for free without having to shell out 28% gst on air...

How can these industries be allowed to continue if they release dangerous effluents WITHOUT any treatment at all?? They have been putting nature in distress. But don't you worry, BJP is taking only temporary measures till Kumbh. Once Kumbh is over, these criminals will be allowed to resume wreaking havoc on Ganga by untreated waste!!!

It is for the Government to set up effluent treatment plants. If they have failed, why blame the entrepreneurs.
