I fully agree with Mr Murlidharan. Law only tells us what NOT to do. It does not tell us what we should do. The utterly misplaced assertions by politicians and media persons elevating the constitution to level of Dharma-granths have created this atmosphere where people only think about whether or not they are on the wrong side of the law. They do not think as to what is their 'Kartavya' in a given situation. This has made today's world a highly toxic place, Chanda Kochar's being yet another prominent example and yet another stark reminder for all of us the EXTREMELY URGENT need to revive the sense of reverence to Dharma.
Murli Saan, where was the need to write such a long article on Chanda Kochhar. I have never read so long an article even on Jack Maa or steve Jobs. Pl write crisp articles . Jai Hind

Fully agree. The writer thinks that writing longer and longest would be better defence of a person who apparently committed an indefensible act.
She may not be obliged to quit at all, but she surely is liable to be sacked and so was after the crime surfaced. By quitting, which of course was also arranged, she has softened the blow.

History is full of such stories.Let us not forget Rajat Gupta, who shone like a star. Probably every one has to pay price at sometime or others..No tears for her actions

Rajat Guta was put behind bars. In India people get away with these sorts of misdemeanors. Until and unless such offenders (if proven) are put behind bars, these offences will continue.

Rajat Gupta was in USA. If he had been in India, he would have gone scot free with the help of expensive lawyers and corrupt judges !

Also, may be, castrate all true accused without anesthesia, publicly, and depending on the cruelty like in Nirbhaya`s case, let them also be subjected to that treatment in good measure. Today a rapist/murderer goes on being alive for years and years and depending on his purse can get off lightly in the end. The whole PUNISHMENT (i.e."justice") must be public for real deterrence.
