This type of half literate social and political leaders spoiled the society in the name of "Hindu religion" through social injustice historically in their respective areas, which resulted in invasion by foreign power and finally large number of natural conversion to other religion to take refuge. Oflet to appease the present leadership to assure tickets and have their meaniningful political carrier, they became "Leader Bhakt" and started giving rubbish statements. As a sensible citizen of the country, I feel use of religion by any political party for their political mileage must be stopped immediately. "The Chief Election Commissioner Of India" should direct his team to take a note of these type of rouged people and their statements to keep them out of public representation, even if their political bossess are giving tickets, by creating a centralized databank to keep these type of fanatics and other rouged hooligans out of Electoral contest. Because no political party leadership will take any action against their unruly comrades (talking nonsense by violating constitutional provisions, associated with hooliganism and serious ofenders of law & order) they are only interested about their chairs. Infact their leadership doesn't have long mission & vision and looking for immediate interests.

When a person does Good we describe him as an ideal Indu even though he might be of any other sect or creed; because the basic belief is that one who does good is awarded But when a person of a different sect does good but does not believe in the sect or creed, the same sect will disown him because the condition for any other non Indu sect or creed is that one needs to believe in their prophet or messiah. So even though you might be good, according to those non Indu sect you will go to hell and not to heaven as the condition for the latter is not goodness but belief
This is one fundamental thing that is missed by our own Indu people
Does the Finance Minister of Gujarat have any shame in throwing accusations on the great Father of White Revolution. He is not even the level of the shoes of Dr. Kurien to talk about him in this manner. Dr. Kurien is a true Indian and has done more service to the farmers and people of Gujarat than any other Gujarati by giving so much employment and even indirectly helping the farmers. As for funding Christian missionaries, Dr. Kurien was an aesthists and only aesthist can be a true human being believing in everybody being equal without any cast or religion. Ofcourse he would have funded or sponsored anything with respect to welfare activities which are mostly done by Christians in India, but that cannot be treated as funds given for conversions. Doesn't the BJP people help funding RSS and VHP. Indian Govt. especially Gujarat Govt. needs to give Dr. Kurien highest respect of honour. If this is the way a person of such greatness is accused, then what is the sanctity of Gujarat Govt. The fanatic Hinduism way of believing will not last longer as after every rise, there is a fall which the BJP better understand.

Dr Verghese Kurien created a White Revolution for which the Nation owes him gratitude.Having read his biography,I think it is only false to attribute motives to him moreso when he is no longer among us to defend himself.
Father of Indian White Revolution. He has immensely contributed for creating world-class institutions Amul, NDDB, IRMA, Mother Dairy etc. He made it happen from drop to flood - the MILK & Dhara Oil. A great man, a great soul.

EVERY INDIAN REMEMBERS DR KURIANS CONTRIBUTION, EXCEPT FOR THE ANTI NATIONALS FROM BAGPUR, WHO WERE BASSICALLY BRITISH SPIES IN 1947, AND TRAITORS.
Dr. Kurien is an asset to India, but at the same time, he had soft corner for his religion and had helped them as and when someone from the Missionaries approached him. He is close to the Christian groups and he did extend his assistance to them. But everyone has soft corner for their religions and you cannot blame anyone. Mr. Dilip Singhvi is also right from his perspective that Dr. Kurien has extended some undue considerations for his religious members. He is also a human being, who can take some favourable decisions to suit his taste.

NOBODY IN INDIA IS BEYOND CASTE, CREED OR RELIGION, WHETHER IT IS MOTHER TERESA OR DR. ABDUL KALAM OR EVEN SHANKARACHARYAS. EVERYONE IS ASSOCIATED WITH SOME RELIGIONS AND THEY HAD ALSO SHOWN SOFT CORNERS AND FAVOURS TO THEIR RELIGIONS. SO, NEVER DESCRIBE ANYONE IS BEYOND ANYTHING IN INDIA.
