AJ's contention that CSO is a highly reputed organization which maintains arm-length distance from MoF, appears questionable in the light of the happenings in the recent past. This government, which has reduced CBI, ED, RBI, C and AG, etc to its'kitchen departments', has added one more department to its kitty, namely the CSO. When questioned, the stock reply by second rung party spokespersons would be that Congress also had done it in the past. If BJP is also resorting to such techniques, then what is the difference between Congress and BJP? People voted BJP with great expectations that it would really perform and deliver. But what are they delivering now? Tampering with growth figures instead of posting good growth figures as a result of real vikaas. Is this the reason we voted for BJP in 2014, only to be served with fudged figures? How much of poverty these figures would eradicate? How many hungry stomachs these figures would fill? How much of safety and security these figures will provide to our women? How much of quality education the revised set of GDP will provide to the children deprived of good education? Why these unproductive efforts in the name of correcting the GDP figures?

Congress scam figures were amplified many times. Cash involved was 15k to 20k crores. Vinod rai afterwards became bjp member. When govt adopted new methodology to calculate GDP 2 years GDP of modi govt increase by 1 to 2% so also correspondingly upa years GDP also increased and now based on same methodology ....
