RBI governor must listen tothe union finance minister
by RAJKUMAR on Nov 18, 2018 11:49 PM

Just as a CEO of a company has to listen to the majority shareholders, similarly , The RBI governor MUST listen to finance ministry as the GOVT OWNED BANKS OWN /CONTROL 90-95% of total money supply of the economy.
This is to be viewed above political lines.
Even Dr Manmohan Singh had said Finance Minister is always superior to the RBI governor.
Independence from govt interference does not mean totally ignoring govt interest

RBI -back bone of financial services
by hasmukh savlani on Nov 18, 2018 12:40 PM

MODI govt must not undermine this financial backbone , which has been always taken care of our economy. But the govt needs to strengthen RBI without any conflict or controversy, which would never help our economy.

When Hon PM Modiji has financial wizards like Shri Arunji Jaitley in his team, why should he care about mere RBI Governor?

Question: what should Modi have done...RBI ...
by daniel thorat on Nov 16, 2018 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

Frankly, it now looks right to say that Modi could also have thought of putting in his papers and concentrated on electioneering like in 2014. After attacking, opposing, taking disadvantage of abusing the Constitution, CBI, CE,ED, CVC and several other organizations, only RBI was left. Meaning no disrespect, one wonders whether something left over from the chaiwala time has done this to India during these 5 years. Now, every thing is at the mercy of PM Modi/BJP/RSS etc. because they can fund enough crowds to disobey the SC and all other Cnstitutional authorities under verbose pretexts thin, transparent lies.

On the one hand Govt claim that tax revenue has increased substantially due to better compliance Of GST , increase in income tax returns , more then 15 lakh crores from petroleum taxes & demonetisation . So why then pressuring RBI to release more funds , which one is to believe ?

At very long last, India does look to be waking up to what has been done to India since 2014. Some myth-misguided folks are driven into thinking that they can take vengeance against the Mughals and the British for ruling over us for a thousand years, and so support the lynching, beef ban and almost all money guzzling communal programmes. One question would surely open all our eyes yet again : was there ever a period when the entire land mass of today`s India, carved out or cut out of the British India (Ceylon, Burma, etc.) was one, unified, nation with common, language, faith, culture, skin colour, dietary preferences, apparel, with any remote feeling of one nationhood during past thousand years? All our problems today are because only a handful people are holding the entire nation, now, to ransom through force, threat and coercion because of this wrong thinking and wrong ambition.Time to really think.

imran is begging outside the country and modi is doing it inside the country, from the country's reserves. All this for his arrogance and ineptitude.

Yes, indeed, do leave the man alone so that he can complete the task of totally breaking down this nation, through well practised Hindi speeches interspersed with Jatayu, Ayurveda, Patanjali, vasudhaivakutumbakkam etc. and bring us this misery on all fronts. Yes, the job of destruction does need to be completed. Alas, that may perhaps never happen, because India has woken up and sees things as they are.

exactly even an idiot knows what modi should have done. with his inflated ego and arrogance in every word modi cannot see things straight. he has abused the mandate of the people by bringing upon untold miseries on the masses and he continues to harm the country with his blatant use of power and fear.

2014 elections: 31% of total voters voted for Modi (he never allowed the actual MP candidates to utter a word from the dias). 69% of all-India voters including majority Hindu brethren voted against him, favouring other leaders. They were not united. 31% just cannot fool or rule 69% all the time. Worrying is now what Modi/BJP is definitely doing. But, again, the worry is not about simply losing power, it is about exposures on all fronts.

Everywhere the whole country had been governed as per system given by congress, today Govt. at center is not in agreement with the policies framed by congress so far. As such clash or dis-agreement is common feature. In each and every organisation which is self controlled, such problem will arise including judiciary, CBI and many others,

The Congress system is the one that brought us Independence, making possible to talk of a Bullet Train and Iron/Steel statues and Moon mission etc. If Congress would not have been there, perhaps long ago we would have started making the pakodas as our national industry, like the Swiss with their watches.
