Acche din
by Kishore Mangalvedhe on Nov 13, 2018 07:09 PM

Waghmare seems to not know basic economics and maybe a congressman.
He should have reported with a better headline instead of scoring brownie points.
The figures show that more people are declaring more income rather than hiding so it is Acche din for Indian tax payers and Bure din for tax evaders

This analysis is about only 3% population who pay taxes
by Truth Prevails on Nov 11, 2018 02:20 PM  | Hide replies

This analysis is about only the 3% population which pay taxes and most of them are salaried employees. Salaries have definitely increased at the top level in past few years, no doubt on that

Ayushman Bharat in which Govt is giving 5 lacs medical insurance to so called poor through only private insurance companies. Out of 5 lacs, 1.75 lacs go to Insurance company as their service offering fee. Rest amount can be used for treatment or better say hospital expenses. Now if treatment requires more than 4 lacs, hospital authorities don't entertain. Further if poor somehow don't use it, then all money will go to Insurance company. Hospital authorities say that if Govt pay directly to hospital, then they can easily give treatment to poor if expense estimate is more than 4 lacs.

Had Congress not given empty promises, poors would not have been suffering today... corruption, indiscipline, irresponsibility. Dirtiness...etc... farmers would not have been required to commit suicide...NDA has given Ayushman Bharat a good insurance scheme covering most of all poor, middle class, R/s. 6000 to preganant woman, housing subsidy of R/s. 2,67 laks, low interest rates, construction of houses for poor...etc without discrimination Of caste creed,, not attaching name of any leader... .. SP, BSP, Congress have given benefits only to one community, Religion for vote bank... Govt funds should be used only for common expenditure for development of infrastructure, education, housing, defence,.. etc
Let others work for 10 15 years...

INCOMETAX IN INDIA
by balajee ks on Nov 10, 2018 12:37 PM  | Hide replies

Income tax in India is skewed and flawed. It is the salary class who bear the brunt. This class is forced to cough up the Income-tax whereas businessmen as usual pay lower taxes manipulating accounts. Actually there should be a separate tax slab for the Salary class and another tax slab for business. Another point to be noted is successive governments bring out the same tax laws every year with some tinkering in tax rates here and there. Actually tax provisions are punishing in several ways the income earners in lower brackets for example restrictions with regard to house property, minimum exemption limit etc. Similarly majority of retail business does not give 8% net income considering the interest cost of borrowing and expenses. Considering the conditions of Indian economy and the cost of living the basic exemption limit should be fixed at Rs.500000. But again budget is based on bureaucrats' statistical lies. That's why corruption could not be eradicated. Atleast, BJP Govt., should have brought out attractive tax benefits because it disappointed on huge promises it made and belied expectations of ordinary public. Whereas it incurred the wrath and displeasure of public by bringing demonetization and by not effectively dealing with 1000s of business-men who cheated and looted several billions of bank loans. Stock market is one area where huge gains are made with no proper and prompt tax compliance. More than 50% of Bank loans may not return and will become NPA

True
by nilanjan roy on Nov 10, 2018 11:51 AM  | Hide replies

The writer of the article wanted richer becomes poorer & poor becomes more poor. But it does not happen & he is upset.

Hazarepati becomes Lakhpati, Lakhpati becomes Crorepati & Million becomes billionair - is the world wide sceinario.

1000 Billionairs in USA. 95 Billionairs in Russia more than 100 Billionairs in Communist China.

And at the last this urban writer has mentioned how he became crorepati.
