I remember seeing the area around a copper smelter in Tacoma, Washington State, U.S.A.. The trees in the area were all tiny, unlike elsewhere, and the local people had various health problems. Sterlite must be similar.

but the people in tamilnadu are given a different story saying that the protest is by the NGO'S and the church and a whole bunch of fools to yes yes it.people in Bhopal still suffer from the carborandum gas tragedy but the government has not learnt its lesson.they are trying to promote the corporates and themselves at the cost of the health of the present and future generations.
Exhaustive bullsh&t which is nothing more than 'HISTORY OF VEDANTA' and painstaking effort to forcefully connect the unconnected events and entities.
This is how conspiracy theories are peddled by the media which has no other intention but to scandalize a party and give ammunition to the other party to create ruckus in assemblies and parliament which renders them practically nonexistence as rogue politicians stall the proceedings.

Why can't you be more specific? Is it because you know you're totally wrong?
Propaganda works wonders when a country's citizens busy with their lives and have no time to process the information they are inundated with.
You batter a particular audience with your petty theory and scurrilous allegations ( including name calling), over a period of time , it is proven that part of the audiences subscribe to the idea.
Congress used this strategy to vilify RSS . They managed to create a notion that Hinduism is sacrilegious and endangers the so called secular fabric. They created the Saffron color notion .
And then the scum media in India generously participated in this unholy team work.
If one looks at the pattern of material appear on certain web sites and people of choice to be interviewed or pattern of highlighting certain incidents ( with caste undertones), one understands how deep the propaganda machinery has penetrated into the psyche of India.
It looks like Trump Administration of the USA accusing every one and every thing on earth and section of the media propagating it.

Every State and central Govt has cooperated to give clearances to Vedanta , for obvious reasons. No point blaming just NDA or UPA or AIADMK. They are all in the game together.

VEDANTA GAVE BIGGEST CONTRIBUTION TO THE BJP. HENCE , CHAIWALA IS SUPPORTING IT, AND KILLING T NADU CITIZENS, THE BJP WILL BE PAID BACK IN THE SAME COIN , WITH INTEREST BY THE PEOPLE OF INDIA
Without going into emotional & political side of this issue, ALL need to look at the practical side of developing economy. Industries are required for human consumption. We need homes, clothes, appliances, so many day-to-day requirements and all come from industry. Agriculture is important and first priority, but with that alone, no state or country can survive. Development and environment have to be weighed on equal footing. I have worked in Tuticorin, most places of Tamil Nadu, AP, MH and travelled almost the length and breadth of the country. People are surprisingly complaining about Tuticorin, let them see Hyderabad and trace back its development from the 80's till recently. Bulk drug companies ruled for almost 40 years. The effect of these industries are far more dangerous than what is being talked about in Tuticorin.
Pollution is everywhere, our drainage system or lack of it in towns, cities and the obnoxious smell we face on the streets can knock out human beings if inhaled in excess...Vehicular pollution...
Cases of ill-health or deaths cannot be 100% ascribed to only pollution. The incidence of cancer, lifestyle diseases and genetic disorders, infections are on the rise over last 30-40 years, all of which cannot be linked only to industrial pollution, in fact the food we eat could be the major culprit.
People, Bureaucrats, Politicians, Government should co-exist and make the situation improve, rather than escalate and come to a stage of my way or highway.

PRESENT GOVT IS RESPONSIBLE. DOES NOT MODI GO TO CUT RIBBON FOR INNAUGURATION OF BRIDGE WHICH THE UPA BUILT?
