Why land for elevated track?
by bakchod on May 27, 2018 12:08 PM

I don't understand why land has to be acquired for an elevated track? At the most a few pillars will be installed in each farm along the route and land will be needed for 10-12 stations which anyway will be in the cities. So I don't see why more than 100 sq ft of land is needed from each farmer.

Govt can also offer 1 stall at nearest station for each farmer whose land is acquired. They need to think creatively.

Yes Modi saw dream which is not suiting to our voters. He is wrong to that extent. His intention may be good, but not acceptable to masses.

It is only an ego trip.
Millions daily commute here in Mumbai like cattle in local trains. if they could have taken Japan or anyone's help to ease their daily distress , it could have enhanced their reputation.

There are many trains between Ahmadabad and Mumbai and there is absolutely no requirement of this bullet train. There are many flights also and those who want to travel within short time they can do so.

Moreover, Gujarati community are also rich people comparatively to others need no extra attention from Govt. It is just act of carry coal to coalmine.

I support Mr Dilip. The Bullet train is meant only for the millionaires' travel trip and not for the poor who not are having their own huts (jhuggis). Have you seen the news and views of a train burning near Gwalior today???

Japanese were not giving 50-year interest free loan for any other project. The other projects financed by Japanese like Metros and Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor have higher interest rates. Flights will become unaffordable after crude oil goes back to $100 per barrel. Bullet trains are better because they will be powered by electricity from domestic coal. With airplanes, all the money is going to the arabs for fuel.
