Modinomics and clever comments
by daniel thorat on Jun 18, 2018 04:21 PM

Like two watches, no two economists my also never agree. primarily because of being unequal in their learning or leanings. After Dr. MMS,an internationally acknowledged economist, India got Narendra Modi as PM, who by no stretch of imagination, can be treated as an economist. Owing to several undeniable reasons and circumstances, PM Modi could be misled or misguided by his colleagues, babus, or political pressures etc. Some of Modi`s decisions and actions were not so much as brave but reckless, not fully thought through and ultimately damaging to the nation. But, it is blatantly wrong and biased to say that MMS and Chidambaram left behind macroeconomic disaster, and shows lack of basic understanding of economics.

fiscal deficit
by tarun kaushik on May 20, 2018 08:09 AM  | Hide replies

This is ridiculous that our honorable PM done right to keep fiscal deficit down prudently. Its just coincidence that crude oil prices fallen from 114 $/barrel to t extent of 25$/barrel and most of time remain in d range of 40 to 50$/barrel .And everyone knows that that import of oil is major factor attributes for India CAD.He spent more than 800 crore in roaming all over t world ,did done any FTA foreign trade agreement to boost export which really help India not only create job but also help in earning dollar to maintain fiscal deficit Under control. Moreover over farmer issues ,nothing done for them for MSP ,just slogan ,will double t income ,how can when MSP is not raising ,moreover agencies harassing farmer by making non practical norms ,how can farmer produce certain size of potato, onion etc ,this is agriculture product not manufacturing through machine .He announce policies and goes abroad .Y before demonetization LRS limit raised from $75000 to 225000? Means more money can ...Moreover kept dollar/ ruppe rate around 57/58 mark ,this not only help money more smuggled from India but also reduced export. List is endless ....

Perhaps, Modi could have certainly done a lot of saving for the nation by avoiding foreign junkets.
