Mr Venkatachalam was about to hit Bull's eye when he started talking about defects of I&BC, 2016. Then he drifted away and focused more on Mallaya. As such, defects in I&BC, 2016 and NCLT proceedings, though help other creditors to recover their dues from struggling corporate debtors, it hardly helps banks to recover its dues unless bank follow proceedings of each and every NCLT proceedings and file interlocutory application

Mr Venkatachalam was about to hit the Bull\'s eye when he started speaking about flaws in I & BC, 2016. Then he strayed away and focused on Mallaya. So many flaws in I&BC, 2016 makes it completely useless for banks and facilitates other creditors of defaulters unless banks keep tab of every NCLT proceedings and submit interlocutory applications

instead of publishing this stale news, rediff should have followed what happened to Mallya yesterday. He got a double whammy - one in India and another in UK.

Sooner or people like Mallya will go to jail. Bad times are ahead for the king of good times and flamboyance.

This seems like loose talk. It creates an impression that PSB will do anything and the government of day should protect them from all consequences. He is right one one note that this mismanagement is happening in private sector banks too. Secondly as responsible member he should use his good offices to curb political influence in sanctioning of big loans.

look depositors have been tolerating all the nonsense this govt is doing to push public savings into hands of private banking. once depositors decide to pull our 1,100 billion of savings then who will fund Modi's cronies

DA linked pension and perqs. of all govt. retired people including politicians which amounts in lacs/crore p.a. is a direct loot of tax payers money.
Waiving loans, distribution of freebies to win election, giving subsidies are another big burden on our resources and tax payers are punished each year.
No doubt the above view on banking is 3rd factor to attack our economy,

Refer/compare all banks' balance sheets till 2015 and thereafter - increase of NPA due to wrong economic policies of Govt - most banks either shown loss since 2016 or a lesser profit, inclusive of all private banks. When all banks fail means ........?
