The reference to Arbuthnot is curious. The de Monte connection to the scandal was perhaps not adequately investigated. de Monte was a carpetbagger of sorts and acquired enormous property in what then was a suburb and now part of central Madras. His property is perhaps now in the hands of the Church and needs to be taken over by the State of TN.

BJP has to clear up the air on running away of Nirav Modi,Choksi and Vija Mallya in both the houses of Parliament to Government.
I) Did the Government have any role in letting then run away? If it had then
ii)What were reasons that the Government considered it prudent to let them go and were there any words from PM,FM,MHA or BJP Pres.
iii) What benefits have accrued to nation in letting them go and had they continued to stay in India what losses India might have suffered further
iv) Can Modi Ji or Jaitley Ji or Rajnath Singh Ji say that personally they had no roles and that they had taken all the steps for not letting then run away
v) Despite all the precuatutions how these people managed to get away?
vi) What action has been taken against those groups or people who were involved in letting them go despite governments instructions to the contrary or there were instructions to let them go
vii) Steps made by Government that such fugitives cannot get generated in future.
viii) can Government not issue a firm order that anybody who is under scanner of ED, CBI and such similar agencies will be debarred to travel out of India and the concerned departments of police, intelligence, and air port authorities and roadways and railway authorities will receive time due instructions to catch such people when they manage are at final end of theeir maneuvering to leave the country. Technology can be use d to instruct all concerned agencies to let economic offerenders leave the country

who is guilty?
by shyam amladi on Mar 02, 2018 02:56 PM

today, each one of those responsible is pointing fingers at the other. instead, the people who are probing could first check on the "said all proof system" which they say is existing in the banking system. second, they check on how loans were granted to the defaulters despite their not repaying the dues, this has to be done step by step; and then catch the signatories who have facilitated these deals to "happen". that is the only way to get at the culprits. again, the RBI is the "monitor" for all banking systems and activities that are happening in india. how come they did not "catch" on to these "misdeeds??? there are too many missing links in this scam. the only solution is to attack the problem step by step and plug the loopholes at every step and proceed further. but you need to know where the loopholes are in the first place. this can be done only by a person who has complete knowledge of accounts, auditing, and the banking system.

Today Karti Chidamdaram is in CBI custody. Why not the bank directors and chairmen, after all they facilitated the loan. At least send a stern message for the future.

who is guilty ?
by sharada Devi on Mar 01, 2018 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

i would say the main guilty is pnb. next comes nirav modi.the banks think it is their money and they can do whatever they wish.home loan, car loan, any loan at a very much cheaper rate is available to their employees, even a military person cannot get the loan at such a low rate.bank services are no.1.

It is not PNB but the system which corrupts the officers to make a quick buck. Big Fishes are allowed by Govt., to scoot and the others are charged
