There is a history of good intention and bad implementation with BJP. The plastic ban should have been in phased and thoughtful manner. In first phase only Plastic bags should have been banned (their use, manufacturing, distribution). In the later phases other items should have been banned alongwith easy available alternatives. Now due to bad implementation- first of all cost of cloth bags have increased from Rs 5 to Rs 30. Since people don't have easy availability of alternatives their are hardships resulting into agitation and than waivers by government. Example- govt has given relaxation to shop keepers.
What this government should have done (above the party lines) is to follow the examples from other states (like himachal Pradesh) which has banned the plastic successfully for over 6 years. In anycase now we have BJP govt there, atleast learn from others!!
Absolute ban is not the solution. Thicker and reusable should be allowed.while the MNC use multilayer material like chips packets etc which not recyclable, they are going scot free. The MSME and unorganized sector use normal plastic which is easily recyclable

Think above petty party politics. Your Corrupt party is indulging in politics even with good decisions. Have to ever heard about the side effects and ecological disasters due to Plastic use? Don't play politics....
