Whether a tiny fraction among the now 4 million strong Indian American community achieves high distinction in their professions/businesses or whether the great majority among them lead common middle class lives and are delighted to be allowed to live in a country that has unbelievably clean surroundings compared to what they have known all their lives in India, Indian Americans continue to be ignored in general by their white hosts and are almost always clubbed with the Pakis and Banglas as South Asians !
