There was a time when I had bought a Hero Cycle and that was the worst experience with Hero. All the parts in that cycle were of inferior quality. There was not a day when the cycle would give a problem and the parts would have to be replaced. So frustrated was I with Hero cycles that I never ever ventured to buy their products.
I was in Amsterdam and our company had free cycles, which I used to ride to and fro the hotel I stayed in. Infact I was pleasantly surprised to see even the CEO cycle to work (it was an E-Bike). I would love for some revolution like this to happen in India. After all isnt going green the need of the hour.
In some advanced Nations they have special cycle lanes to encourage cycling. In summer they use more of cycle than other modes of transport.Do we have such lanes?
City roads are already so congested, it may not be possible to ride for day to day commuting. The city roads need to be reorganised first. Today there,s just one road for all types of vehicles, from fancy cars to buses to bullock carts to humans to animals. That,s why there are many avoidable accidents, Jams etc.
