Do we require PSU's? They are a burden on the state. Most are totally nonproductive. These white elephants should be immediately disbanded.

Higher Gratuity Benefits
by prakash trimbak bhave on Jun 08, 2018 03:16 PM

Government is distributing lot of money to farmers and also to others. Most people in India do not get pension they are dependent on retirement benefits like Gratuity and Provident fund which they get at the time of retirement. Rs 10 Lac is not big amount and also Bank FD interest rates are going down so it will be very difficult for lower middle class people to survive. Now a days the life expectancy is also very high so one has to plan for next 20 years at the time of retirement. In last ten years inflation has also gone up so Government must consider the trade union request and revise the Ceiling for Gratuity by Rs10 Lacs

the government delayed the notification and implementation of the gratuity act amendment for psu employees, why should employees suffer the wrongdoings of government, had they passed it in 2016 along with central government employees it would have been applicable for psu employees also, whats the fault of psu employees in it, why should they be debarred if retired in 2017 who were hoping to get increased gratuity in the year when the amendment was about to pass and also was deliberated upon in the government and introduced in parliament.
