That's what Govt. wants that this institution LIC ,should also bear losses and subsequently closes downs and then Govt. allow entry of BIG Pvt. player who will do business according to his own terms&conditions and we will just watch the show.

this may be good for IDBI as they dont have to worry about bad debts NPAs...

it is now LIC policy holders headache...they will have to now pay increased insurance premiums so that LIC can afford this

also now officially LIC policy holderes will finance/be sponsors of bad debts or NPAs of IDBI....

What else you people may think on this issue? Can you imagine this deal may be wonderful for LIC by opening of Hundreds of new doors for making presence
