I travel across India on a regular basis. So there are many tea stalls I visit regularly. In these many years I have seen not a single tea stall owner shut shop due to loss. Every road side stall owner, cigarette and pan shop owner, every paani puri vendor has thrived.
From Chennai to Ahmedabad, from Pune to Kochi, from Kolkata to Hyderabad, from NOIDA to Bangalore.
While they have thrived there are no visible changes in them in terms of their lifestyle or clothes or anything. The security guard supplier used to come in a TVS Luna in 2004, an Alto till last year. This year he called out my name and wished me happy new year from his Ertiga.
Even the person I call to paint my house, the mattress maker, the photocopy and stationery store wala have all done well.
When I went to Telangana, Vidharbha, Mehsana, I saw that the landless labourers still struggle.
But the farmers are doing well. So it is not all farmers- my uncles are farmers and very rich.
In all there are many positives than negatives.

Where do we stand on the ladder of equity? This is a question that citizens of the republic can ask the state after 70 years of legislating welfare laws and adjudicating measures to deliver social justice.""The ground reality is dismal," he(Hamid Ansari) said during the inaugural address at the 9th National Conference of the Indian Association of Lawyers here.while the top 10 percent controlled about 74 percent of it. The poorest 30 percent, meanwhile, had just 1.4 percent of the total wealth," he added. That means it is the result of performance of all Govts.R,PONNAMBALAM

Boss, How long will you wail and resort to dramatics that there are poor and down trodden and landless laborers and so on who are in pathetic conditions.

It is a competitive world and due to India's population , there is a
dogeatdog world outside. What do you expect ?

They have to stand on their feet some how with whatever help the government is offering.

Govt can not INVITE them on stage and handout relief packages at the expense of people who break their backs to earn in urban area.

They need to work harder to get what they want.

story of billionaires in the developed west as well as in China and Russia (perhaps to a lesser extent in the latter two) is about skills of enterprise overcoming competition, that in India - a begging bowl revenue nation - is invariably about packs of thieves helping themselves to public wealth like swine devouring food meant for people !
