The write up is Superficial and shouldnt have been published in the first place.... Jio happened in 2016..... but decline of Rcom started from as early as 2011..... The reasons are well known to ppl who have worked in Telecom Industry for some years.... but those can not be discussed aloud....still these articles have to be published.... So much so about our way of life....

Two factors did serious damage.

The debt mountain and the Jio.

The corporate seldom saw the onslaught of the typhoon approaching from beyond the horizon.

Surprisingly RCom survived so long...

RCom subscriptions rose in the first few years only due to non-available options in the market. People had to be content with RCom poor network and worst support team. It is very surprising to see RCom survived so long with such a pathetic service.
Rel Jio is also going similar way in terms of service.
Surprisingly, no player is really offering a world class service in such a revenue spinning geography.
This is one last chance for BSNL to grab the opportunity to increase the market cap significantly by improving their services. But looking at their track record, it\'s the last thing to happen.
