Guys plz understand that all these sanctiones which happenned in both mallaya's case and Nirav Modi's case happpenned before 2014... so who is to blame?? if cong was in power this wouldn't have even come out... Apni akkal lagao..

Sirs, It is so early to comment before assessing actual quantum of loss. With the available reports hitherto transactions made are over 11000 crores. But PNB complained for 280 crores. Whether they got LOU for 11k crores and how many times LOU were issued unauthorised by PNB officials in the branch level. Whether they received payments towards all the LOU issued earlier? How many officials did sign this knowingly or unknowingly, however liable. Whether these actions were intentionally omitted to report to their HO and RBI?. While effecting Foreign Exchange transfers/transactions/payments as to how it gone out of Banks and RBI knowledge? as it could be monitored from other end. Whether the party has Limits for import facility? Whether it comes under Money Laundering? Still more questions are there - It is just I assume/guess.

Irony is there is so much regulation for the common man's banking activities by KYC, Re-KYC, again Re-KYC after few months, Aaadhar linking ,etc,etc,etc ... just to prevent money laundering , the Big crooks have it very easy to launder funds. No statutory authority seems to be monitoring them. Just imagine how bad the scenario is , Nirav & gang hv been doing this for 8 yrs !!!! So much for Aam Admi ,Acche din ??

you are right. The loss if at all will be limited to LOU's issued in the last 180 days. Should not be more than 500 crores.

Looks like Citizens want PM Modi to stand at airport terminal gates to prevent fraudsters from flying.
