NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL ON STANDARD DEDUCTIONS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS WHO NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND HELP. NO COVERAGE OVER 70 YEAR AS INSURANCE COMPANIES DO NOT ENTERTAIN AT THIS AGE. MEDI CLAIM PREMIUMS ARE QUITE EXORBITANT BUT NO RELAXATION FOR THIS CLASS.

Union Budget 2018, Feb 01.

The Budget is a dampner. The FM has quoted wrongly that Farmers are getting 1.5 times the input cost of their produce. The published Govtt. data does not support it.
With inflation hitting the roof, there is no support for salaried class, though, the FM acknowledges that the salaried class pays more income tax. It is even more disappointing that salary of the ruling class has been increased though they get everything subsidized.
Overall a disappointing budget.

Modiji please listen...

Everything going on now reminds me of late Promod mahajan's SHINING INDIA SLOGAN .
After that it was thumbs down for BJP.
No jobs on ground, people losing jobs, family budget climbing up, no increase in salary, actual prices moving up and up,middle class affected most, rich becoming richer, only rhetorics, total disconnect, reminds of George Orwell's Animal Farm.

More statement of information.
More and more declaration of intent.
Little action, wishful vision.
