With indexation ,tax ar10% one wld agree govts action alright,but without indexation the limit should be 2 lakhs minimum,if at all govt feels stock market not turn bearish.As indexation process is cumbersome&:require the help of tax consultant, and not to compel investors to sell equity shares immdtly on completing one year,govt better wisely make the limit up to 2 lakhs for shares kept for 3 years,and 5 lakhs for shares kept for more than 5 years
