I know personally Mr.Yousuf, a great helping hand in all situations, and denying the help from UAE is not good as freindly nature help without interest or repay terms, And Centre is not aided upto the expected levels.

Why your party and their ideology is being rejected almost everywhere in this country for last 70 years ? Why they lost power in tripura after rule of 25 years ? Why your party has only 16 seats in both house of parliament out of total 786 seats ? Though UAE has good relations with India especially Kerala, it would only be foolish to expect that UAE donates 700 crore just for relief work. From whatever sources the CM got the news of aid even if it is from the most reliable one like Lulu, they should not have disclosed it in the open or media and made a mockery of things with the Centre and Modi getting involved and thereafter denying permission to take any foreign aid. Though there could be politics in this, finally its insulting to the people of Kerala who are looking forward for funds to rehabilitate them and get back to normalcy. So, even if the UAE offer is true, its worthless as Centre has denied permission to take the help. So, Kerala and the CM will have to find their own ways to get the state back to normalcy than depending or anticipating funds from abroad or for that matter even from Centre. Its surprising when the Kerala CM is asking people not to believe rumours or fake news, how is it that he himself has believed in UAE offer. Or was it a trick of the CM to ensure that Centre gives more aid, or was it a trick of the Central Govt. to give hope to people of Kerala that you are getting help from all over, hence do not worry about your resettlement.

UAE has 30% Indians of which 80% are from Kerala. Their aid will reach Kerala in whatever possible legal channel and it could be more than 700 also. There is nothing wrong in accepting that.

Refer to pg 9 OPED of 2nd Jan 2018.(OPED will tell the name of the news paper)At the bottom of that page is a write up ABSTRACT" Why foreign aid does not reach the poor.?That gives some good information.If there are noble intentions in the world India would not be saddled with so many refugees and Kashmir problems .R.Ponnambalam
