Vodafone UK has written off its investment in Indian operations & has a top heavy cultre.It also encouraged high profile branding & its team had filthy overpaid circle & functional heads whereas Idea was very conservative in its approach to both.The only common thing for both since Jio was launched is their failure to meet the challenge & numbers are an indication of it.It will be a big challenge for merged entity to take on the might of Jio led by Mukesh Ambani who will not stop till it achieve 50% market share in all segment which may well reduce the new entity to a run of mill presence.
