Given the plethora of laws that we have, it is impossible for a Ponzi operator to operate without support of Government officials and politicians. We do not see any stringent action against these officials and politicians. Hence such schemes will continue to surface from time to time. We need action not only against the perpetraitors of these schemes, but also the facilitators.
