Along with keeping cash at home people are now using digital transactions as well. Thus currency notes are not getting exchanged that frequently. Whereas research lacks to explain benefit of hoarding 2000 rupees note which is pretty useless to a common person, also it do not signify that ATM due to low circulation of 2000 rupees notes are working below their expected capacity. If a person wants to withdraw 10000 rupees he can withdraw five 2000 rupees note. however due to limited supply of them now more lower currency notes are withdrawn leading to ATM getting out of cash quicker. However it would be perfect case to get rid of 2000 rupees notes which are pretty much useless to a normal person

HOARDING OF 2000 NOTES
by Gladyschellam on Apr 21, 2018 08:49 AM

There are so much practical inconvenience to keep 2000 notes in hand to persons who relies on fixed monthly income.
It is more inconvenient to below poverty line people.

It is very convenient to Hoarders of Black money. Very very convenient for corruption.

Introduction of 2000 notes cannot be said as good - must have been introduced due to manage the situation immediately not to affect the public due to demonitation.

I love to keep some cash at home, withdrawn from ATM, for emergency needs. It is all accounted for so what is anyone's problem ?
