What role will each play?
by Jugal Ahuja on Sep 26, 2017 10:30 AM

Gov't has a Chief Economic Adviser in Arvind Subramaniam, who has been given a year of extension till 2018, whereas the Economic Advisory Council has been revived, which is to be headed by Bibek Deb Roy. The confusion is what roles will these Councils/authority have? In the case of EAC it is reported will examine and advise on matters forwarded to it by the PMO, that means it has no independent role. Now what will the CEA do- examine matters sent to him by the Finance Ministry?

Just reverse the direction........DO AWAY WITH THE DIGITAL DREAMS. It will provide for so many jobs and so many people would be busy running their small, small business and shops. Tax more the online sales, see how the economy recovers. Restrict imports from China citiing the trade imbalance and see the magic..........WE DO NOT NEED SO MUCH BRAINS, JUST A CHANGE IN THE DIRECTION WHERE WE ARE GOING.

I know this debroy guy. He was teaching us. Once we asked a question as to what are the. Advantages for India after economic liberalization. The only answer he had was that we have McDonalds. Speaks well but totally shallow. We need some serious intelligent guys to steer our country

Mr. Modi, India is fed up of your hasty and unplanned decisions. We here only flowery speeches from you. But you and your Govt. has done enough damage to the Indian Economy. People are fed up of you - Mr. Modi. Please resign and quit as you are good for nothing.

There is lie in each and every sentence of yours, Mr. Modi.
You have implemented devastating policies with no grudge. You are adamant in nature with no guts to accept your mistakes.
The people of India are fed up with your speeches and expect results.

2 down, 2 more to go !

The komaaaaaali rocket, fuelled with non-inflammable gas about ache din, 56 inch, na kaye....whatever and other such matters that the komaaaali kept belching out in foul smelling spurts during the 2014 LS election campaign, still remains grounded !

The 2014 belches from the komaaaaali were authored by the foursome of Jagdish Bhagawati, Arvind Panagariya, Arvind Subramanian and Bibek Debroy (wonder what they fed the komaaaali to make him belch out such foul smelling gas) !

Jagdish Bhagawathy, after initially going on and on knashing his teeth at Amartya Sen (publicly at his policies and prescriptions and privately at those who decided to award him the Nobel instead of himself), became more and more muted and fell completely silent after the komaaaali burst the demonetization bomb !

Panagariya initially tried to defend the demonetization with visibly very awkward half arguments and hopeful theses, but like his master Bhagawathy, began to go mute as the disasters of the exercise became more and more apparent. He finally got completely fed up with the Tuglaq policies of komaaaali Modi and left his job abruptly.

Arvind Subramanian too began following suit. But this time, the komaaaaalis so called finance minister began to sense that the mythical world that his master created in the minds of gullible commoners with the help of these 4 men might begin to come apart if 1 more of them left ! And so there were a lot of hurried talks between the finance minister and the CEA

and the latter has just decided to stay on in the pining hope of seeing a turn around in the governments ill fortunes.

The last one still left with an apparent straight face is Bibek Debroy. Of all the 4, this man was the most gallant (and the most shrill) in his defence of the demonetization. He was so edgy with every reporter and interviewer who sought to quiz him about the demonetization that he ended up mocking their intelligence, power of understanding, knowledge about economics and laboring hard to ridicule them - even making faces at them !

And long before the ordeal for these 4 men began, Raghuram Rajan sensed well what was coming and made his extreme reservations known to the komaaaali govt. He was asked to leave for showing the temerity to suggest that something can indeed go wrong with the 56 inch approach to matters !

Kalia stinking useless, jobless komaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaali, Modi and his party has got an absolute majority to rule at the center and they are empowered to select whoever candidate they want to select. You commie komaaaaaaaali as usual can not do anything but to continue your nonsense day and night. Why you Commies are so much concerned with whatever this government do and just continue your never ending kraaa......kraaa.......kraaaaaaa......all the time. Better improve your tally of seats and votes to get yourself eligible to comment and criticise this government.

welcome decision by modiJI
by on Sep 25, 2017 08:23 PM  | Hide replies

Well. Atlast a finance related man is being entrusted the job. If this would have happenned earlier the crisis on the situation wouldnt have arise. Well. However it is not too late. This Debroy should be given a free hand. He should not come under any minister's control. He should be under direct control of the PM, because the situation is critical. Orelse he should be sworn in as the FM instead of failed AJ.
