Bullet train v/s Metros
by B B Sharma on Sep 21, 2017 10:47 AM

Bullet train is not a bad idea but what are our basic priorities - Bullet train or metros. I would have certainly preferred 10 metros in different cities across the country instead of single bullet train with the same cost . It would have created much more jobs & benefitted very large population across the country. How bullet train shall attain a speed of 350 KM per hour in a total distance of 500 Km with 12 stops ? As RTI reveal no cost - benefit analysis of the project was under taken . Earlier this project was shelved only on account of its viability issue . Its more of a legacy rather than a cost viable project . Any way when elections are at stake such MINOR issues can be conveniently ignored / overlooked.

People have the bad habit of commenting without trying to understand the issue. Now it looks like legacy but when it comes every one who can afford will enjoy it. We have to keep pace with developments. We could have mmanaged with bullock carts, tonga and horse driven carriages, now why are we indulging and wasting money on trains, high speed costly cars road building etc. One should have foresight before opening mouth.

Bullet train will generate close to 40,000 jobs & boost the economy of Maharashtra & Gujarat. It will improve India's image globally. It is also a great way to decongest cities. Read the entire article http://theopinionatedindian.com/why-spending-on-bullet-trains-shivaji-statue-is-justified/

This is the perfect initiative by Modi

This is the right direction a government should function. In fact this is long overdue. There is lot of potential for High Speed travel in India. Technically, we can not run both passenger trains and freight traffic on the same tracks for several reasons. Moreover, the safety parameters that are maintained for express trains will be deteriorated during the running of poorly maintained heavy haul freight trains. Also, Indian Railways have not updated modern techniques such as RAMS to analyse safety of tracks. All these issues will automatically be resolved in High Speed projects. Kudos to great PM.

Morally & ethically ,as then CM of state, Mr Modi is squarely responsible for 2002 mayhem. Do you not remember the indictments by Mr Vajpayee `RAJ DHARM KAA NIRVAH NAHI HUA on 2002 riots. Perhaps was the only acting CM whose visa was denied by America

Moi is digging up his grave
by SUREKHA VAGAL on Sep 15, 2017 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

This train route is meaningless. Slowly, steadily Modi is undoing all credit he got from Doklam. Any Bania with power gets readily corrupted. Modi keeps boasting / diverting attention just like the Chinese media during Doklam stand-off. While doing so, he has made huge arms purchases to please the US masters. He may win Gujarat poll, but people are noticing all his actions are pro-Guju. 2019 LS elections will surely erode what % he had earlier.

Well said he is digging his own grave , The majority of country pple are furious against Gujjus already because of their notorious Buisness ethics to loot other state wealth & corrupting the system with their money & political supports. soon pple will teach Modi, Sha & overall BJP for its Discriminative attitude.
