Annual reports: 5 red flags to watch out for

Very useful article. But, how many of our investors have time and inclination to follow these? Most of our investors are not even familiar with financial terms and their interpretation. Investors should be particularly cautious about penny stocks which normally have negligible or very low volumes, but spurt in both value and volumes all of a sudden because of market manipulations by certain players. Such stocks will come back to low volume status immediately after the stock-manipulative players have exited the stock. It is always better to deal in A or B group shares and leave the others untouched unless the investor has done proper due diligence.
