Environment friendly?
by True Voice on Sep 25, 2017 12:22 PM

Is it again environment friendly? The battery is toxic. It will be thrown in public places by users after lifespan.
Suggestion:
The battery supplier or importer has the responsibility of tracking their products sothat it should come back to them after the lifespan for proper disposal or recycling. Today no product manufacturer has any accountability on their product disposal by the end user. They are only bothered about selling in multiple volumes. Govt also entertain them to multiply the volume to showcase economic growth.

Government must accept this challange for good reason.
by Sanjay Tomar on Sep 10, 2017 10:08 AM  | Hide replies

Implementing new technology for environment safety is good decision but challenging Government must start better research R&D to reduce battery price & must be sustainable for small car in India. Charging station should not be challenge but frequently changing battery is challenging due to cost must have better lifespan to reduce cost. Government with expert scientist must set up R &D to meet the challenge is only solution then implementation challenge can be handled.

I think it is in right direction. India has always been lagging in the manufacturing high end engines for automobile. With switching over to electric, it gives India a chance to be at par with any country in terms of manufaturing of its car. Also if and when our companies find out a cheaper and better alternative to costly LiON batteries it can be easily replaced without hazzle. Given a right environment Indian R&D/Juggad can get this done. This not only eliminates india's dependency on oil but also on the manufacturing corps.

The minister must form an advisory panel.
by chanakya maurya on Sep 10, 2017 12:21 AM

And chalk out a road map.

And ensure its implementation.

silently and efficiently.

You cannot bully the industry which has its own problems to tackle.

Besides if the world goes electric naturally the industry will also strive to keep apace with the global developments.

The industries are going be there with certain permanence.

Ministers are temporary, often dont see the next sunrise as the minister of the same portfolio, sometimes just assigned to a state governorship.

by abhishek sharma on Sep 09, 2017 08:03 PM

Everything can not be just theoretical...at present India is not able to cater 100% electricity , in peak time electricity availability gone down to 62%.. requirements of electricity is going on 30% year on year...From where is Government planning to put these extra electricity in 15 years...
